The Donich & Hartzfeld Neurosurgery & Spine partnership in Akron, Ohio is the practice of Dane J. Donich, MD and Dr. Paul Hartzfeld, MD.
Dr. Donich and Dr. Hartzfeld practice neurological surgery and orthopaedic surgery of the spine. Our philosophy in the treatment of patients is to attempt to avoid surgery and utilize non-surgical (conservative) measures whenever possible. We offer treatment options including surgical and nonsurgical measures that rival those of even the largest hospitals in the nation. If you should you need surgery, it can be done in such a manner as to minimize any incision and to result in as little discomfort with the fastest recovery possible utilizing the best minimally invasive options available. We have made significant and dramatic strides in the treatment of spinal disorders, brain and spine trauma, intracranial hemmorhage, treatment of primary and metastatic malignancies (cancerous tumors), benign tumors (non-cancerous) and in reducing the invasiveness of brain/spine surgery.
Dr. Donich and Dr. Hartzfeld can accommodate patients with motor vehicle accident injuries and personal injury claims. They are also often able to provide care for patients with Ohio Bureau of Workers Compensation in injuries. We welcome patients desiring “second opinons” that have already seen an orthopedic or neurosurgeon. Dr. Donich and Dr. Hartzfeld also offer many treatment options for patients that have had prior surgery by another surgeon and did not experience the results they expected or now have recurrent or new symptoms.
We are accepting most major insurance carriers, Bureau of Workers Compensation, Medicare, and Tricare.
